NES Group has implemented a class leading Quality Assurance system across all of its operations that is audited and accredited to ISO9001. To support this approach and ensure the consistent delivery of a high quality service, NES has developed a range of service policies. The statements associated with these policies have been detailed below: 

Health & Safety Policy Statement

General Statement
It is the policy of NES Group Ltd have a duty of care to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare of its employees and the health and safety of any other persons who may be affected by its activities. The NES Group will take all necessary steps to ensure that its duties are met at all times.

We will, as an organisation, ensure that:

  • all processes and systems of work are designed to take account of health and safety and are properly supervised at all times

  • a member of senior management maintains specific responsibility for health and safety

  • competent people are appointed as first aiders and fire marshalls to assist in meeting our duties including, where appropriate, specialists from outside of the organisation

  • all employees are regularly consulted on matters relating to health, safety and welfare

  • adequate facilities and arrangements are maintained to enable employees to raise issues of health and safety

  • employees are given information, instruction and training as is necessary to enable the safe performance of work activities

  • all arrangements are brought to employees’ attention and are monitored and reviewed to ensure that they are effective on an annual basis.

Employees also have a duty of care and must ensure that they:

  • co-operate with management to enable all duties are complied with

  • take reasonable care of their own health and safety and the health and safety of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions

  • familiarise themselves with the health and safety arrangements that apply to them and their work functions.

Environmental Policy Statement

Like any organisation, NES Group actions can adversely affect its natural environment and as a user of natural resources, NES recognises that it must play its role in the preservation of the environment and prevention of environmental harm.  NES introduced their first environmental policy in 1996. 

NES works closely with its employees regarding environmental issues to reduce environmental impacts and recognises that good housekeeping is a cost effective way to manage environmental and energy conservation. 

We are committed to a positive and responsible attitude to the environment and considers the   environmental impact all our activities, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and preventing wherever possible polluting activities.

Whilst the environmental impact of the organisation is low every effort is made to reduce polluting activities by recycling waste office materials and selection of low energy use equipment whenever it is practicable and cost effective.  

Corporate Social Responsibility Statement 

The NES Group believes that it is important for the organisation and its employees to maintain high ethical standards in order to preserve its reputation in the marketplace.

Good ethics are important to ensure that NES Group meets not only its objectives in a fair and equitable manner but its wider social responsibilities externally. In addition, the organisation is committed to ensuring high ethical standards within the workplace.

Quality Policy Statement

NES Group operates a policy of continuous improvement in service to its client, achieved in an efficient and cost effective manner.

All personnel are fully committed to providing clients with the quality of service to meet their needs bearing in mind the commercial requirements of the company and NES Group is committed to providing the resources to ensure that clients’ requirements are met.  This is achieved by considering clients’ needs and expectations, providing service in a controlled and efficient manner and constantly reviewing service performance and achievements.  These reviews aim to identify corrective and preventive action as necessary, such actions being in turn reviewed to verify effectiveness. 

Senior Management set both short and long term quality objectives, for the company as a whole and for individual departments, to maintain consistent performance and obtain viable improvements wherever possible.  The performance of the systems against these targets is reviewed at the regular Senior Management Meetings along with the general performance of the quality system.  

Supplier Diversity Policy Statement

NES will actively encourage diverse suppliers to participate in its procurement process for goods, works and services. It will provide a level playing field of opportunities, for all organisations including Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) owned businesses and other diverse suppliers.

Within its obligations as an Equal Opportunities organisation and in compliance with European Union (EU) and UK legislation, NES’s procurement process will be transparent, objective and non-discriminatory in the selection of its suppliers. NES will actively promote diverse suppliers throughout its supply chains.

IT & Data Security Policy Statement

The objective of IT & Data Security policy is to ensure business continuity and minimise business damage by preventing and minimising the impact of security incidents.

The purpose of the Policy is to protect NES’s Information Assets from all threats, whether internal or external, deliberate or accidental.

It is the Policy of NES to ensure that:

  • Information will be protected against unauthorised access.

  • Confidentiality of information will be assured.

  • Integrity of information will be maintained.

  • Regulatory and legislative requirements will be met.

  • Business Continuity plans will be produced, maintained and tested.

  • Information security training will be available to all staff.

  • All breaches of information security, actual or suspected, will be reported to, and investigated by the Information Security Manager.
