RESPONSIBILITIES
He will report to the Engineering Manager on general matters and to the Project Manager on project matters. He is responsible for the scope of work / supply within the work package. He is authorized to take and implement actions needed to comply with contract requirements, specifications and project objectives. Project Engineer ensure that all engineering aspects of the project progresses within the constraints set by the approved budget and project master schedule, and ensure that all specified requirements are met.
- Ensure that Aker Solutions and Client QA and HSE requirements are met.
- Provide information to PM to produce plan describing and forecasting need for project resources including engineering, procurement, fabrication, FAT and project administration.
- Initiate and execute WP internal meetings with key personal in his / her group.
- Monitor and report progress to Project Planner.
- Monitor COR’s (Change Order Request) and NCR’s (Non Conformance Requests) from suppliers and own production as applicable for the Work Package.
- Monthly reporting to Project Manager for including in the monthly report to client.
- Assist the Project Manager on preparation of request for variation orders.
- Input to the Project Risk Register. Handling of project risks assigned to the work package

QUALIFICATION, REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Degree level or equivalent preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5-10 years relevant design experience with oil and gas related equipment, experience with oilfield equipment would be a plus
- Sound working knowledge of offshore working techniques and ideally will have had exposure to the offshore working environment.
- He will be a good communicator and have excellent presentational skills
- He must have a proven ability to lead multi-disciplined Projects
- Experience in working to ISO9001 quality standards
