Working for one of the leading support services providers, servicing the life-cycle of transport infrastructure from feasibility through to planning, design and operational management. Based in Birmingham the purpose of the role will be to lead the planning activities of the whole of the Group.

You will act as the functional head for all planning staff within the Group ensuring that workload is planned to optimise the resources available to you and that accurate and standardised worksite plans are produced. You will need to be a competent user of planning software P3e or its successor and have a commercial awareness being able to produce reports, projections of resource, plant requirements etc.

It is essential that you have extensive experience of working in safety and environment within the rail industry with relevant qualifications (NEBOSH or equivalent) and membership of a professional institute (IOSH or similar) and be fully aware of industry issues.
