We are looking for an Environmental Assistant to work for a large railways organisation based in Derby. You will:
Advise and communicate with the SHEQ team, Project Teams and Management on all environmental aspects and impacts.
Maintain company / Project Environmental Management System (EMS) to comply with company and contract requirements / legislation.
Liaise with third parties as necessary including Local Authorities and EA
Monitor, review and audit compliance with EMS plans
Provide regular environmental briefings and updates to SSL Management, Project teams, subcontractors and suppliers as necessary
Collate and report environmental data for environmental KPI�s
Ensuring that all environmental incidents are:
Investigated
Reported in accordance with company procedures and customer / statutory requirements
Skills:
Proficient in MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint
Meeting skills
The ability to plan and organise work
Qualifications:
Minimum of HNC/HND in environmental related subject
Associate Member of IEMA
Current driving licence
Experience:
Experience in co-ordinating EMS preferably to ISO 14001.
Experience in construction and/or rail related role.
