Immediate start for a contract Traction Power Engineer based Chester. Rate negotiable, guaranteed long term contract.

Job description

To undertake traction power engineering activities within the group, in respect of both design and consultancy services. To provide technical support and assistance.

Delivering traction power engineering (design and consultancy) specific tasks

Contributing a traction power engineering input to electrification engineering (design and consultancy) projects.

Contributing a traction power engineering input to multi disciplinary railway engineering (design and consultancy) projects.

Ideal area of expertise:

- High Voltage/630/750V DC

- Traction

- Cabling

- Distribution (AC and DC Power distribution systems)

- Experience in LV(750V DC) Distribution System Design, 3rd (4th) Rail Electrification Design and working knowledge of traction Power System Simulation Studies

- Good and up to date knowledge of present standards and legislation associated in both the LV & HV power systems.
