We are looking for a Sub Contrctor Manager to work for a specialist Civil Engineering firm operating within the railway industry. My client is llooking for someone from a civil engineering background whose sole purpose will be to travel to the various sites across the UK and ensure the work being done by the sub contractors and agency staff is being performed to the required level. The successful candidate will not be responsible for any site management activities, but will concentrate on the management of the contractors on site.
You will come from a civil engineering background (preferably senior engineer level) and have excellent man management skills. Rail experience is strongly preferred. The role will involve a lot of travel around the UK, and the successful candidate will be their own boss on site, reporting into the head of the rail division when required.
