About the role
As part of one of the specialist arms of expertise, you’ll work in a dedicated, close-knit team, providing detailed, coordinated and cost efficient public health design to our varied client list. This will mean tailoring a comprehensive service of specifications, calculations and reports as well as acting as an ambassador for Hoare Lea at the highest levels. Specifically, you will produce designs for above and below ground drainage systems and hot/cold water services to standard, to budget and to deadline. Your duties will see you working across all projects and sectors, including education, healthcare, retail, residential and commercial, so you’ll always be challenged and stimulated to make the most of your skills. A great opportunity to choose your location of work (we have specific vacancies in Oxford and Bristol, but you could work at any of our offices across the country), this is your chance to balance an excellent quality of work with an excellent quality of life.
About you
The chances are you’ll already be working in this field, so you’ll know the skills involved in making a success of the role, but we are also interested in hearing from people working in a similar discipline who’d like to build on their experience and grow their career in this friendly, specialist team. Either way, you’ll need to be HNC / BTEC educated (or equivalent) in a field such as building services and be confident people person, used to working face to face with clients. A strong technical knowledge of UK regulations and design guides is a must and you’ll be most comfortable working in a team. Above all, you’ll relish the opportunity to progress within such a well respected, well established firm which values talent and first class service above all else.
