We are looking for a Project Risk Manager to work for a large specialist design consultancy based in the West Midlands. You will report to the PRM practice leader. He/she will be required to be integrate into project delivery teams and work closely especially with technical discipline leaders, planners and quantity surveyors.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the PRM leader who is responsible for the implementation of PRM on projects;
Providing risk management advice to internal and external clients in a variety of market sectors (esp. rail, highways, energy, aviation) at different project lifecycle stages, including: Facilitating risk workshops and applying other risk identification techniques;
Assessing risk (e.g. CAPEX, OPEX, schedule, revenue and reputation) qualitatively and semi-quantitatively;
Quantifying CAPEX & schedule risk exposure using Monte Carlo simulation;
Reporting and advising on risk exposure and risk response plant to senior project staff.
Assisting with the maintenance, management and improvement of our risk management framework for safeguarding against risks to which the Firm is exposed.
In many instances, the post holder will be expected to work independently; reaching conclusions, recommendations and decisions without recourse to discipline leaders and the post-holder must demonstrate an ability to articulate their reasoning
